Avnet Technology Solutions, an operating group of Avnet, has announced the launch of an independent software vendor (ISV) ecosystem designed specifically for the healthcare technology market. Through the ecosystem, Avnet will enable partners to provide complete healthcare solutions, including healthcare industry software, hardware, and services.

Tony Vottima, vice president of vertical market solutions at Avnet Technology Solutions said that , To meet the technology needs of hospitals and medical facilities, it is critical to not only provide hardware infrastructure, but also the industry-specific applications that doctors, nurses and administrators need to do their jobs. “By teaming with the healthcare industry’s leading software providers, Avnet partners will be able to provide complete solutions for their healthcare customers. This will greatly benefit partners’ end-user customers because they’ll be able to purchase all of their technology needs from one source instead of working with multiple companies to create a solution. Avnet will work hand-in-hand with our ISV and reseller partners to identify and manage solution opportunities that will grow their businesses.”

Participating members in the ISV ecosystem will work in conjunction with experts from Avnet’s HealthPath practice to pursue solutions opportunities.
