Carestream Health, Inc., launched a solution for small practices to review, store and output medical images that provides users with affordable and efficient digital image management. The CARESTREAM PACS, MX-Clinic View will be marketed to physicians’ offices and clinics by authorized dealers.

The new low-volume system provides users with a plug-and-play solution for one to five concurrent users and is designed for up to 15,000 imaging exams a year. The PACS MX-Clinic View is available as a standalone system or as a bundled solution that includes a DIRECTVIEW Classic CR or Elite CR System, or a Point-of-Care CR System. Bundling the MX-Clinic View with a CR system provides a comprehensive solution for users that desire digital imaging capabilities for general radiology exams. In addition to CR, this solution can support a variety of modalities including DR, ultrasound, MR and CT.

The MX-Clinic View is easy to use and offers a rich set of features including: image annotations and enhancements; orthopedic measurements; long-length imaging; and support for multiple-monitor workstations and multiple image layout types. Its output and storage options include several months of on-line storage, output to CD or DVD and up to four terabytes of RAID storage. It also accommodates the import, storage and display of non-DICOM data so physicians can integrate imaging exams with other types of patient records.
