Cardinal Health, a global provider of products and services that improve the safety and productivity of health care, announced the availability of an online tool for hospitals to view automated medical supply dispensing performance data that quickly identifies opportunities to improve the efficiency of the supply chain.

The Supply Performance Dashboard allows hospitals to view and analyze usage data from Pyxis® supply technologies installed across the entire hospital or health system. Users are guided towards best system practice through key performance indicators such as in-stock percentage, user compliance, supply spend analysis and inventory accuracy. When use of Pyxis® supply technologies deviates from optimal practice, the Supply Performance Dashboard displays color coded visual alerts, allowing users to focus first on the areas with the most opportunity for improvement.

The new application is web-based and available from any computer with Internet access. Once securely logged into an account, users have instant access to a personalized view of Pyxis® supply technologies performance tailored to their scope of responsibility — at an individual area or the entire integrated delivery system.

Mike O’Connor, MMIS Coordinator, Flagstaff Medical Center, Northern Arizona Healthcare said, The Supply Performance Dashboard allows our system to be proactive instead of reactive when managing our medical supplies across our hospitals.  It gives us the critical information we need to ensure supply availability for patient care areas and quantifies the cost savings achieved through more efficient supply chain management.
