Synthes announced that it has established a record date and a meeting date for the special meeting of stockholders to consider and vote upon the previously announced merger agreement, dated as of April 26, 2011, pursuant to which Synthes will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson.
Synthes stockholders of record at the close of business on October 20, 2011 are entitled to notice of and to vote at the special meeting, which will be held on December 15, 2011, at 11.00 am, in Solothurn, Switzerland.
Synthes stockholders are encouraged to read the definitive proxy statement relating to the special meeting, when it becomes available. An invitation with further details on how Synthes stockholders may attend and vote at the special meeting will be published by early November 2011.
