The Steriking® Monitoring products provide for improved safety in sterilization processing. The range comprises of B&D test packs, Helix process challenge devices, chemical indicator strips, seal validation test sheets and sterilization tapes.
The unique Steriking® Seal Control sheet is designed for operational qualification of the sealing process. Where medical devices are packed for sterilization the user is responsible for assuring the performance of the final closing seal of a package. The critical parameters of a sealing process are temperature, time and pressure. Under the new standard ISO 11607-2: 2006 the following qualities of the seal should be controlled: intact seal for a specified width, channels or open seals, punctures or tears and material delaminating or splitting. The Seal Control sheet accurately simulates see-through peel packages and provides users a practical tool for validation and documentation processes. It is exclusively designed and patented by Wipak.
Steriking® DCG2 is a new generation of Bowie & Dick test pack for detecting steam penetration and air leaks in porous loads. It features a new minimized size and design. The product meets the requirements of ISO 11140-1 (Class 2 and 6), ISO 11140-4 and EN 867-4. The test pack consists of environment-friendly unbleached filter paper. The heavy-metal-free indicator ink conforms to Class 6 and provides for a permanent colour change.
The new Steriking® HX100 is an ideal process challenge device (PCD) with indicators to simulate a worst-case scenario in the autoclave. It can be used to test the steam penetration in hollow instruments with small lumina. It complies with the EN 867-5 standard and also with the specifications of ISO 11140 currently under preparation. The indicators on the test strips conform to Class 6. The colour change is permanent and the product is supplied with a tape backing for easy attachment to documents prior to filing.
