Tottori Prefectural Chuo Hospital is a 417-bed facility that serves a population area of 250,000 people in southern Japan and specializes in critical care, perinatology, cardiology, and oncology. To help deliver patient care more e­ectively and e‑ciently, the hospital deployed a business intelligence (BI) solution that is based on technologies in the Microsoft BI stack and accessible by hundreds of clinical sta­ members. Today, the hospital uses the solution to streamline interpractice teamwork, helping clinicians coordinate patient-care e­orts and increasing productivity for an estimated yearly savings that is equivalent to US$ 375,000.
